    Same here Blackfish.....and not sure why I never thought of doing it that way! I have always kept a few smaller ones to do whole because my mother in law and I liked the tails. Now we can enjoy it without having to deal with all the bones.

    Thanks Josh. As always, enjoyed the video. Nice scaler and will have to try the method as I will admit I have not tried it as you showed. Have done it the old way with the spoon though and leave the fish whole. And of course, I love that cooker. Use it almost every single week. Will use next week at club fish fry. Will be no problem cooking for 40 to 50 and keeping plenty of hot fish cooked.

    You gotta get that cooker dirty. It's suppose to have no paint left on it and oil stained!

    Sometimes I leave skin on fillets but never the tail. I use a manual fillet knife. But I never heard of that scaler , still using a soup spoon!
