    Default Fun day for sure

Went to dove camp this morning. They fed us some great BBQ before we hit the fields . Got my limit in a couple hours, then came on home. Nessa was hungry so we stopped in Yazoo City and ate. Food was off the chain. Fresh made cheese sticks, a shrimp basket and a boiled shrimp salad. YummmmoName: ImageUploadedByTapatalk1410050846.982014.jpg

Had about a hundred folks at the dove camp. I felt better bout my shooting watching other folks shoot. Some people have no business with a gun in their hand. One fella told me he shot 5 boxes if shells for 10 birds. Birds were everywhere so there was no reason not to get a limit. Heck , I was shooting low brass 7 shot lol

Nice shooting. I would be like the 5 box guy, with probably less than 10. lol. Best gumbo I ever ate was dove and Andouille sausage. And I have consumed hundreds of gallons of gumbo. Anyway just a suggestion. By the way, my brother's okra, shrimp and crabmeat gumbo is a close second. Thought I should mention shrimp also.

Opening day of dove season is the only time some people pick up a gun all year. They then go to the country club and boast about how avid a hunter they are. You're right, they make me nervous too.

I got peppered twice, stung like heck.. I about took the couple of high brass number 4 shot I found mixed in my shell bag out and shot back . If they'd have hit my wife like it hit me, i would have. Never thought about gumbo. Only 3 weeks to squirrel season so I think I see a tree rat, dove and sausage gumbo in my future when it cools down outside. Thanks for the idea

It was Ed. If I didn't watch what I eat Monday through Friday and work out like I do, I would be that big.
