Default Gen 3 Lowrance HDS locator?

I am looking to upgrade to a Gen 2 Touchscreen in hopes that it will be easier for my dinosaur brain to operate but hate to pay top dollar for it if they are close to introducing a Gen 3. Does anyone know if this is coming soon? Any ideas on where I can find the best deal? Thanks for your help. At the very least I just want to spend these big bucks knowing that I at least TRIED to be responsible about it! ( note to wife)

You guys are both right about Brian. He was really quick to respond and very informative. Thanks for pointing me his way.

You'll love the touch if you decide to buy one. Probably one of the fastest, easiest to adjust units on the market now. Great depth finders.
