    Default Dam horse flies

Can't hardly get out the door before they start zooming. I don't know how they can find the middle of your back were I can't reach but then fly right into the side of the house. Thunk. Stupid things.

They were bad around my shop the last two years. I cant find a good way to get rid of them. From what I've read, the females are the ones that bite. They need the protein from blood to help develope their eggs. Once they lay the eggs, they arent a problem

Damn horse flys about ate me alive last weekend when working on deer plots and stands. Suckers bite hard
There will be days when the fishing is better than one's most optimistic forecast, others when it is far worse. Either is a gain over just staying home.

I got to where I was pretty good at swat'n 'em off my horse's rear while riding, but I never have tried whacking one off a live person ... might be fun!

Make a cows life miserable too. I'm spraying a permethrin mix on them and it only helps a short period, if at all.

I spray my cows too they look like they have gotten shot by shot gun so many blood spots. I use permethrin poor on stuff but I put it in a pump up sprayer when I feed while they are eating I soak them.
