Float n fly is a jig that is used in the winter months to catch big small mouth and spotted bass in cold water conditions...48-38 degree water. these two species will suspend on 45 degree banks bluff walls on or near a tiny bait that they prey on in that time of yeatr. the jig is suspended under a cork . we use long 9 1/2 rods on spinning tackle braid main line and 6 lb florcarbon leader.
