I have been pushing for the last two mornings and so far crappie are running from me I guess. Just bass and catfish so far.
Had a chance to use my new rods and really like them. (the diawa DR962MHR) They will make a big difference from my other rods. I like the 10' length.
I came upon a structure that I thought would be holding crappie but they turned out to be bass. The biggest was about 3 lbs. Good fight on that rod.
These I thought would be crappie--nope bass

Yes they are and I was very surprised that their cost was reasonable. I got two rods hung up on a stump limb and thought I would break them right off the bat. They held up no problem. (Ended up caught on some else fishing line)
Do you carry them full length or do you break them down. I fish mostly alone so I'll be using just 4 instead of 6 or 8.

Nice screenshot Larry. Stanley and I went to Russell on Monday. Fishing was tough. Water temps about what you show, 81-84 deg F. Back of creeks loaded with fry of the year. So thick you could almost walk across it. Crappie were not cooperating. Fish we caught were still 15-20 ft deep and over brush. We managed half a dozen crappie and a few spots and LM too. Looks like a good bait production year. Seeing similar areas on Hartwell too. Maybe in a month or so the bite will turn on. We were long lining and trolling crank baits.

Larry, Mr. Cromer and I are gonna give Wylie a shot tomorrow. Trying a different tactic, will let y'all know if it works. Like your screen shots. I am going to change out my transducer so I can do side scan as well, so anything I can learn helps. If I asked this before, forgive me, but what kind of DF are you running? I was thinking it was a Lowrance HDS, but not sure.
I bought some 3 oz. weights so I could try pushing cranks, but so far I have not had a chance to try it.
Mark 1:17 ...I will make you fishers of men
Yea SeaRay you're right on the money, I'm running a T12 and a T7. I change them from front to midship depending on what I'm doing. Up front with the 12 is really great as I run 4 split screen, map, Side, Down and BB. The screen shots come from either unit but mostly the 12.
You may have pickup on the rods I'm using as they really have made a difference. The Diawa Wilderness 10' rod. It has considerable back bone yet the tip is sensitive enough to get the bite. They were recommended to me by Monark King190 and he was spot on.

I do both. When travelling from spot to spot I dont. I break em down at days end.
