    Nice walleye Shane!

    I haven’t posted in a while but still fishing… busy as usual…
Been hopping back and forth from El Dorado to Cheney catching wipers and walleye. Wiper fishing at Cheney has been awesome as long as you find the fish or the fish move up to eat at dawn or dusk. Cheney has a very good year class of wipers from 18-20in and a good number over 21in. They seem to travel in bigger schools than at El Dorado, but at El Dorado still have a lot of wipers over 21in. Walleye fishing for me has been fair with catching a good keeper here or there. Pattern seems to be the same at El Dorado and Cheney, points and humps in 15-25fow, sometimes deeper using crankbaits or spoons unless they are chasing shad on the surface. The white perch at Cheney are getting big, we commonly catch them on big crankbaits and a lot of them have been up to 12in long and thick. Tempted to keep some to eat but haven’t yet.

Those white perch are good eating. Don't be afraid to keep 'em. We've been keeping them from Wilson for years. Nice eyes. Thanks for posting.

Looks like you're going to have a great 'Excuse' to get out fishing a LOT more in the near future hanging on your shoulder! Great Pic.
X2 on the perch. I hope the Eldo perch get the size of the ones at Wilson soon. I know this is a bold statement on a crappie website, but I think they are as good as crappie on the table...and they don't get mushy like crappie will if you don't take care of them right.

Yeah, my son is a great fishing buddy already and is always eager to go fishing.
I plan to keep white perch someday but since they have to be dead when on your boat, i'd like to keep them on ice but didn't bring any ice on the boat. A 10-12in white perch is worth cleaning, and i've heard the same that they are good eating.
