    Default better late than never


    Just wanted to check in and say hi to everyone. I joined a coupe of months ago but have dragged my feet in posting. lol. I am retired and live in western Kentucky. I am located between Kentucky Lake and Reelfoot Lake. I have bass fished my entire life but have not pursued crappie fishing. Since retiring I have decided to start crappie fishing. I recently purchased a crappie boat and about to take a trip to Grizzly Jig to get rigged out on crappie tackle. After reading multiple posts here i realized a confused state of mind can be commonplace and probably end up buying what I do not need. However, I have made a life of learning things the hard way.

    I also enjoy hunting and just boating with my family in our deck boat on Kentucky and Barkley lakes. I try to cook outside every chance i get either on wood fires or cast iron dutch ovens. Enjoy everyday God gives me with family, friends, and good buddies. Hope to get a chance to meet members fishing the lakes near home.

    Thanks G and Lovfatslabs. Appreciate the welcome. G, was at Pickwick last month and the wife and I ran upriver to Yellow Creek and Bear Creek. The first time we have been in Miss and Alabama waters. Pretty country and plan to return. Fish the dam area of Pickwick for nighttime smallmouths many years ago but haven't run the river during the day time hours.
