Default Oklahoma FireFighters Burn Camp a HUGE SUCCESS!!!!

Yesterday we had the Fun Fishing Tournament for the Oklahoma FireFighters Burn Camp on Lake Hudson. What a great time it was. If you didn't make it, you missed out on a great time and ton of smiles. We had approx 45 kids show up and right at 43 boaters. As far as I know, all boats caught fish and all kids had a great time. Ranger09 and his son David and I were able to put together a nice little pack for each kid and several boaters that included baits, hooks, bobbers and a spool of Bonehead Mono. We were also able to get enough donations where every single kid left with a $20.00 gift card. Every kid got a trip to the prize table to pick out what they wanted and then some got a second trip to the table. First time they can remember in 16 years that each kid got atleast 2 prizes. Here are some pictures of the event. Thanks to everyone that had a hand in making this a huge success. Cant wait until next year. we will have more time, more contacts and more ideas. Its going to be AWESOME!!!! Thanks again everyone, not only did you guys make a kids day, you sure made mine too!!!!Name: Crappie.com 1.jpg

This camp for kids was the most awesome thing I have been involved in. I feel very fortunate and BLESSED to be surrounded with friends that pour their hearts out for mankind. To see the faces of these kids that have endured so much in their short life's, and all of you putting a huge smile on their faces was something I will never ever forget. After the experience of this awesome event my life will be changed forever to the good. Thanks To All That Contributed And Came Out Bringing Your Family To Make A Difference In A Child's Life........Ranger

My boys sure had a great time and seemed to enjoy the big fibs Ledge told them about their Dad so I will be there next year to defend myself for sure. I don't want to give away any of their embarrassing moments from the day but next time you see those two in MY boat please remind them to put the drain plug in. Please.

Alls well that ends well and they say my boat is sitting in my barn dry as a bone. It's not the first time that boat has taken on some ballast. Don't ever try to jerk out a stuck anchor by dallying around a rear cleat and flooring it- my motor actually buried itself when I tried that and I will never forget the look on my buddy's face right after he said, " I don't think this is a good idea George".
