    Yes i believe that they are 9' 6". Cant beat the price and they are sturdy rods. $18.00 bucks at the most.

    Thanks I have a couple coming so I be able to use them and let you know my experience. I also have a couple that Rees recommended in this thread. Should be all set in a few weeks

    Getting tackle is the easy part. Going out and catching is alot harder. This crankbait thing aint easy. I will eventually get it down. Time on the water is the biggest teacher.

    You are correct and going to a lake that is crankbait friendly really helps too, you aren't learning much when you aren't getting bit.

    Eagle Claw starfire 10 footers work well with 3 or 4 oz. If you want to go longer find some older Wally Marshall Tightline Specials, they hold the weight.

    Ok, really appreciate all the advice and will put it to good use. I always found that you tend to stay with a method that works then as the season changes you are not as successful. So I thought another method would be in order especially when the fish move out in the deeper water.
