    Default Aug 7 Pemroke


    Got out for 3 hours yesterday afternoon. Bite was good. Caught 27 crappie and 1 yellow perch. fished from 2 till 5. Bite slowed down after 3. The first hour was come on lets go and then just picking one up here and there. Caught them on a new color of baby shad stingers I conjured up on request for a fella from Alabama. He was killing big crappie with them there and I thought I would try them myself here. They out performed my go to's Bluegrass and pink/white. I will give this color more time before saying it is my new go to color but yesterday was sure impressive. The Baby shad style in the top pic is the ones that went to Alabama. The ones I used are in the bottom pic. It is really cool to catch fish on stuff You made. Only thing I don't make is the hooks.CF

    Great looking jigs Ed. what was the pattern for the day. I need to start fishing the rivers again. Gonna check out I/t here pretty soon. When I find them I'll give you a shout. great report!!!!

    I meant to get some Anchor Man. Wind was blowing hard and blowing me way off my spots and just fighting for boat control tied me up from getting any pics. The boss lady wants me to take her out next time and I will get some then for sure.CF
