Great pictures and those stripers are fun to catch. There are some out there that are 28 inches long so I been told.

Fished Clinton Monday afternoon from 12:30 to 8:30. Went looking for shad to cast net to fill the shad tank first thing and had no trouble finding all you could ever want from 2 to 4 inches in length. Fished live shad on down lines 8 to 20 ft down over various depths on the mainlake and found it slow from 1 to 3:30 catching 3 nice wipers and a few white bass and 1 nice crappie by the wife. Action was slow so we went for a swim off the back of the boat and resumed fishing a little after 5 after catching another batch of shad. The bite was on until we left. Schools of wipers and whites were surfacing all over a huge area we were fishing. They would come up for about a minute or less and this continued all night, at times in a serious feeding frenzy. We fished the ones up top with top waters and large twisters while keeping a rod in the holder baited up with a live shad deeper. We really got into them catching numbers, about half of them up top and the rest on the deeper shad rod in between surfacing schools. First time I've gotten into the topwater bite at Clinton but my god it seems to have a killer evening topwater bite!![]()

Forgot to mention all these fish and the others caught were released for another day. As much as I fish for whites and wipers anymore I really need to keep a few to eat once in awhile...last time I kept a wiper was about 10 years ago and I thought they tasted horrible even with the red meat cut out...maybe I need to try them again. We did not get any pictures of whites but about every other one was a real nice fat respectable fish, I'm guessing at least pound and a half and crapping all over the boat and spitting up whole shad every time one came boatside lol!
