Default Rassa Frassin Lousy June bugs

While walking the dog last night I noticed one of our small pecan trees I planted this spring was covered with June bugs this morning I noticed that they had munched bout half the leaves down to the stims on the lil tree. I dusted it good with seven but dont know if that will work. Any advise??

Don't know about the small pecan trees Cappy. My pecans are big, roughly 30+ feet tall. The tent caterpillars get in those big time, but way up high. I just deal with them. Didn't know that June bugs were a problem with them.

What's interesting to me is that I have a security light up near the garden, underneath is my large prickly pear. The birds will get the June bugs and implant them on a thorn to come back later to get them. Seven should work in your case.

If they just ate the leaves off, it should put right back out with no damage to the tree. The Seven should work fine.
    Tell'em I'll be there.

June bugs do damage to many different trees. They hit my fig trees at times. Go out at night with a light and check your trees. You may find hundreds on one tree have a sex orgy at your trees expense. The bird most likely to be impaling the bugs on you cactus is a Strike. They look almost like mocking birds.

Sorry about that, but the birds name is Loggerhead Shrike or Butcher bird.

Okay, now I know, and appreciate it. I've seen those around, look very similar to a mocking bird. Thanks again, love learning something new.

Well the June bugs seem to be over. Maybe cause of the seven dust, or season ending, The nice rain yesterday, or the heart felt prayers i said over them, or in my opinion all of the above they are greening back up and budding new leaves still pretty et up but looking healthier this morning.
