one thing about Skip's glow-in-the-dark jigs as they work on any time of the day or night we had used them with great success during the daytime it is one of the toughest jigs that I've ever used I don't think you can wear one out until the fish terror all the feathers out. but the body will be intact. I have a few of those left that skip give me and we only use them on special occasions.

I'm always up for a new tying/crafting technique - but as great as it would be to learn it the decision is absolutely yours!!

I have kept the secret all to myself Skip for almost nine years. I can understand why you would want to share the secret with the good folks here on c.com and I will stand by whatever decision you make. The best testimony I can give to your process is the durability of the finished product. Not only is it the brightest star in the heavenly underworld of the reservoir but it is something that will last until jaws tears it apart. The process that Skip came up with is indeed awesome, tedious and requires a ton of patience. It is not for the faint of heart or for those who do not insist on great expectations in their product. This lure is hypnotiiizing when it is finished. I am very proud of Skip for sharing the secret with me and for developing the process.

Having said all that, I am sure that the Crappie do not want this secret revealed because they truly will be an endangered species once this lure is released on them.

Thank you Ship, I appreciate you for that. The one thing that really got me to tell you is how you handled the not knowing! You didn't get mad as some did, you just dug in and started tying to figure it out and that lasted a few months as my memory tells me. You tried so hard that I just felt you deserved to know because of how you handled it all! Thank you for keeping your word too, it's as good as gold!

i also remember what you said after learning what I was doing, you said "I would have never figured that out" LOL! If someone did it would have to be ann accident. I don't even see anyone using the liquid I use, at least not jig tyers, but some fly tyers use that stuff!

They are great looking jigs and very bright. Not only are they bright, they are a very well made jig. That is a great technique you developed. I don't tie jigs but I am curious how they are so bright. It is your secret to share or not. It is very nice of you to think of sharing. You could always contact some bigger jig companies and see if they would like to buy your technique. If they were interested, it would be some great fishing money and fun money. Good luck fishing no matter what you decide, Wes
