    Thumbs up Enjoyable afternoon gilling.

Was able to get out to a strip pit yesterday afternoon . This public lake was pretty badly overfished a few years ago and in the process of recovery. I had a tough time finding a jig they wanted. I finally tied on a all chartreuse 1/80 kip tail on a bronze hook .That brought pretty consistent action .I tipped with waxies and salted shrimp bits. Both caught fish. I found one pod of beds that were still active. I think the nice lake is doing well again. I sure enjoyed the afternoon. Wife fried up some from a previous trip when I got home. Mmmm Good

How are you fishing your 1/80 oz jigs? Under a float or tightlining?

I put a med shot up 2 or 3 ft. from the jig. Closer If I am casting to shore.
    "G" didn't keep count this time -- perhaps 30-35. Most were 8"to 9 1/2 "
