I truly dislike litterbugs, especially around water and other natural resources! Nice pics and kudos to the little ones!

Linda decided that she wanted to take the grand kids crabbing. So bright and early this morning we set off down the road to see what we could catch. Well the first spot we stopped we only caught 3 inch crabs so we left. The next spot was a little better and we caught around 2 dozen medium crabs. The kids had a blast even though the action was slow. For some reason my van battery would not crank the engine so I walked down the road to the next guy crabbing and asked if he could jump me off. He was getting ready to leave so it was no trouble for him to stop and jump me. We took over his crabbing spot after he left but just about that time the tide quit flowing and the bite stopped. Before we left we noticed all the trash people has left behind and my grandkids made a sweep through the aren picking it up and then bringing it to a trash can a little ways away. I don't have any pictures of them crabbing but I did get a couple of shots of them picking up the trash.

Good way to teach them. When my boys were young we always left where we crabbed or camped cleaner than we found it. If people would realize if you abuse it you could lose it. Maybe they would pick up after themselves. At Sabine refuge they outlawed cast netting from the bank because people threw their by-catch on the bank instead of returning it to the water.
Good for those kids Gene! For the life of me, I don't understand folks that do that - especially when they know better. They just don't give a ____ I guess. When I am riding on the water I'll stop to pick up trash floating along. Great pictures, thanks for posting.

Can't stand litterbugs.
not gonna comment on how i feel about litterbugs... but am glad to see that yall did good on the crabbing... and way to teach those young ones about leaving an area better than they found it.
"The system may fail you, but don't fail yourself...... get better."
Instead of teaching their kids to respect nature, most folks would have moved on to a spot that wasn't so junky.
Tell'em I'll be there.
