    Default Nieces first crappie outing

Took my niece on her first crappie fishing trip today. We started out in clear creek and had a fish (bass) on before we could get all the poles set. We did get 2 crappie soon after that but nothing else so we came out of the creek and headed East. Didn't get anything but some stripers and a whole bunch of gnats. Decided to get away from the gnats so headed up towards holiday lodge. Caught 4 nice ones then the wind got up out of the southwest. I pointed the bow into the wind and we didn't catch anything else. Was a decent day until we got to the boat ramp. Won't go into detail on here but hopefully after an online course and a court date things will be better.
