    Well, I need some information does anyone out there use Hummingbird 688 CI HD DI fish finders are the 788 CI HD DI has anyone had any trouble with these two what is the difference in the six and the seven are they any good.Is the 788 ci hd di worth the difference in the price.

    7 has 640 resolution and 2 card slots .....6 has 480 and 1 slot. the extra card slot is big. with the 600 series if you have a map card in you can't save snapshots or video.
    Crappie bite twice a day. 15 minutes before I get there and 10 minutes after I leave.

    My 788DI will not read below 1.5 MPH. If you slow troll, that speed is worthless. Some on here will tell you that theirs will read in 10ths and they are telling you the truth. But according to the people at Minn Kota you're just lucky if you get one that will.

    havent ever heard of this problem , ive had 2 different humminbird units , and both would read sitting still running down scan! dono!!

    No, will read DI but not speed below 1.5 MPH.

    My 898hd si reads fine in the 10ths play with the settings until you get a decent picture!

    I think he is saying that his gps won't give an accurate speed reading unless he is going 1.5 mph or over. My garmin handheld is the same. Reads 1.2 sitting still, and is almost impossible to find a wpt going below that speed.

    I've had 5 Garmin etrex handheld gps and work great but they will show speed and distance even not moving. Since they are non magnetic compass you must move about 1 mph for arrow to point correctly. Other words it might say 50 ft to waypoint but arrow will not point correct direction unless moving. Would work great for trollers as mine show speed down to tenths of mph.
