I would really like to see some of you guys younger and what you looked like back in the day. I will start it off. The pic shown is me at 12 years old on a lake called Clark Hill Res. on the SC side. I remember this day well myself, my brother, and mother were on vacation and hammering them pitching a 1/16 th pink and white hair jig along the shaded docks at the boat dock marina. LOL I remember other folks coming into the marina and saw my family whacking them...and they joined right in saying we never even knew there was this many crappie below the dock. We had another filled stringer after this pic was taken. I thank goodness my mom at least took this one, as at my age I did'nt realize the importance of a Picture. It hangs on the hallway wall at my moms house along with a Pic of my brother holding up his stringer. It's funny how my mom placed the pic's of me and my brother towards each other in the Hallway. I am wearing my Jr High football shirt in the Pic.
If you look close you can see a Old green faced Johnson reel and pole laying on the dock and my ole trusty Rapala fillet knife hooked to my pants belt loop. This was the first time that I really realized the importance of shade and how crappie relate to it. I learned a valuable lesson on that Marina dock in South Carolina.LOL Show us a Pic of your child hood and tell us a story about it.

I have always been huge on photos and have really racked them up over the years. Growing up we had no money and bare minimum equipment. My dad wasnt a pro, but that didnt keep him from trying his best with me. He took me every minute he had off. Too bad the cancer took him from me when i was young, but i guarentee i had more than a lifetime of memories compared to any other kids around here with thier fathers. Great man, i appreciate him every day, and it really makes me smile to see photos of people on here with thier kids or someone else's kids. Crappie.com is a great family! Im proud to be associated with you guys.
