Default Percy Priest trip July 3rd

Jacob, Teresa and I fished Percy Priest this morning, trolling crank baits for the crappie. It was a great morning with a cool breeze and the fish were biting! We ended up with 19 crappie and 2 green carp that made the grade. A few of the crappie were over 12 inches with one at 13.5 inches. Most were between 11 and 12 inches. The bass were 16.5 and 17.5 inches. It was nice to be out there during the week with no water lice present. The crank bait of choice for the crappie was the Academy H20 CRULD chartreuse shad, no surprise since we usually do well on that one.

Nice catch.. I haven't been able to fish JPP much this year but enjoy the trolling. How
deep does that lure you're using go? Good to see bigger crappie this year.

I am using several different crank baits that are down from 6 to 12 feet. I use Bandit 300's, Bandit 200's, Rapala JSR 5's, Norman Little N's, and the Academy house brand H2O Express in the CRULD model.

Nice catch. Cant say the same for me at normandy Friday morning. I got 3 small ones and they were hard to come by. My brother is out there now and he says they are doing better. It was very windy yesterday.
