Thread: Shrimp Festival in Gulf Shores

I've been to it a couple of times years back, went on Friday which is the best day with the lightest traffic. Even had a food booth there one year, but never again. It has gotten so big that you have trouble finding a place to park and you either have to walk a lot just to get to it or ride a shuttle bus. I live about 40 miles from there and haven't been to Gulf Shores in over 10 years, then I just drove through. Crappie don't swim in salt water, I don't swim in water where something larger than me swims that eats meat, I don't like sand in everything and I'm no longer interested in looking at something I can't have wearing a bikini, so I have no use for Gulf Shores. However if festivals, crowds, partying and the beach is your thing, it is one of the biggest and best festivals in the south east.
