I just never thought of it. Possibly I'm a lot deafer than you (or the fish) are. I mean that NOT as a joke, too...........that could factor in.

You learn something new every day. Never thought about wave noise. I have an idea that maybe you could build a rig out of PVC "fingers" that you could hang off the front of the boat to break up the waves, kind of like jail bars or mangrove roots

I can see where it would really help especially in shallow water. Those sound waves we hear that drive me nut's at times travel farther in water than air. So I can see where it could spook fish. Trolling motors don't normally bother the fish as long as it is running steadily. It's when you start stop them that will spook fish.

Got mine coming!!! Great product and it absolutely makes a BIG difference when the fish are spooky. Shallow or deep, when the fish are finicky, this product will put more fish in the boat for ya!!! It's a MUST for tournament anglers in a tin boat!!! Sound waves travel extremely well in water and when the wind is blowing, most guys use drift socks and go with the wind to eliminate the trolling motor sound as well as control the boat better. The Silent Stalker will take all the wave slap noise out of your boat to complete the noise control system. In shallow water, lots of the pro anglers even turn their sonar units off to keep the fish from hearing the transducer clicking. With the Silent Stalker installed, it's the Total Stealth approach.

I got a Silent Stalker for my aluminum boat from the person who is making them. And I won't fish without one now. It's like night and day difference with the wave noise. I am not sponsored by Silent Stalker and this is not a gimmick or gadget. It's a must have for the guy wanting to take it to the next level.
