Default Trying to get back into the sac-a-lait fishing (kayak)

I've been fishing exclusively saltwater for the last year trying to learn how to catch them and have had some success. With a lot of places to fish for sacs near Lafayette, I'm going to put more of a focus on the freshwater side of things. If you guys have any suggestions on places to go in the kayak, please help me learn!

    Thanks,
    Peter

Welcome Pete. I don't fish with a yak, but there's a young man that goes by Mermentau that does. I'm sure he'll chime in soon. Good luck and tight lines.

"Young Man"? You ought to be a diplomat.
Peter, Be glad to help if I can. I fish the Mermentau Basin, Henderson, Lake Martin, and different spots in the basin. I've tried a lot of places once just to say I did.

That would be very much appreciated! I'm planning on going to Lake Martin tomorrow and trying my luck for a bit. I'll report back if I make any headway into this adventure. The perks of being a school teacher is the summer time fishing!

Maybe we could link up for a week day trip during the summer. I generally go twice a week, but I'm in dry dock this week until I get some staples removed from my head Friday. Don't stand up under an open cabinet door.
