Man I even caught a shad on one. He was about 6" long and I was so surprised to catch that on my fly fishing outfit. The Gills love these!!!
Oh and they even look better in the water.

These are what he calls Bream Killers. I like them a lot. The ones with the yellow and brown legs reminds me of the banana spiders I see in the Fall. Excellent work once again my friend. Thanks!
I am not going to put them in the tackle box for a while because I just want to look at them![]()

That's a purty bait Skip. What size hook? I like the #12. It catches all sizes.
I used to use Mr. Accardo's popping bugs with a bream killer tied a 8-10" behind it. He would tie them with a little guinea feather so it would have a slow fall. Probably still have a card or two in the file cabinet.

That is a #10, but have been thinking of tying some on a Wide Gape fly hook on a #12. Heck you wouldn't believe how small of a bream I have caught on a #8 curved hook that is not short either, on the Bream Killer Fly. I wouldn't have though one that small could eat it, be he did, LOL!
They call that a Popper Dropper when you drop a Bream Killer off behind a popper bug. That will work for sure!
