    Default Ultimately set up !

    Gents,
I'm thinking ( you're sick of this) But....
As some have speculated I seek the perfect fish finder, I present a possible solution.(and not run the bank dry)
Humminbird 998c at the helm for SI and GPS. Lowrance DI OF some sort at the helm.
Please assist with your ideas .....

Just go with the ONIX and get great SI and DI.......Save some cash by getting a 2D or unit at the bow.....it will share the SI and DI from the SI unit at the console....Then you can get a 360 too.

If we are gonna talk ultimate an ONIX 8ci at the bow and an ONIX 10ci at the console both linked to a 112 Terrova and a 360, there's ya sumpin to chew on!!!!!

Seriously tho, an 1159 at the console and 859 at the bow coupled with the 360 would be awesome.

Whats wrong with a very good SI and a dedicated DI at the helm?
I have a cheapo lowrance 150 up front that tells me when I'm over the brush.
You see, my electronic needs are few.

Here you go Brett, stumps, fish, brush, and humminbird will throw in the software blurps for free.
Seriously,I do recomend the 360,,specially if you vertical fish or just want to keep structure located while you cast to it.

Your 1199 and 899 ,(imo) should produce a slightly better si picture than my onix (with its current software).your di will never be able to compete on a picture by picture thing, but sometimes just because of di coming from the si
