    Default Cast netting

Anyone any good? Bought my first 8ft radius a few weeks ago before we went on vacation. It took a long while to learn to cast it decently, but it is a fine rig for catching some bait fish. I'm not sure of the local laws on using it, but I would think a person could wear out some shad with it.

I have 3 6ft nets, 1/4", 3/8" and 1/2" mesh. Having a good pair of sunglasses I've found bait in the middle of the lake. Wish I could keep more than bait.

I have a 5 and a 6, I tried to throw an 8 one time, never figured 2 foot more would be that much harder!

Simple. Grab at top, fold in half and grab in middle with other hand, fan out net three pulls and place in teeth, three more pulls and place between 3rd and 4th toe on right foot. Have partner grab leader line and wrap around wrist, then throw with left foot. Piece of cake.

just throw it like you do a shorter one, but fold in half so you are grabbin 3ft from the lead line.

RCC, if you happen to find a school of shad, you can get enough to fill a cooler up. As far as the law, don't keep the crappie and catfish. Dang the bad luck if you get you about 4 or 5 foot long gar in there!

I could never throw the smallest one. I gave up and never tried it again.
