When I first started turkey hunting, every year I thought I had it figured out. I did that for about 10 years. At some point after that it finally got easy. This fall will be 6 years of trolling for crappie. I've made a lot of progress but I'm not where I want to be. Like Fosh said, there is a lot of satisfaction from figuring it out. Take your time, take notes, and enjoy. Buying good equipment will save you money over buying make-do and upgrading.
