    Default Jig casting rod/reel

Time to spend some money in a new rod reel We won 250.00 in bass pro cards and 240.00 for this fish last weekend in the 3rd annual mustache classic at high rock. Lucked up and won it last year as well. 28-29 boats in it this year. Y'all missed a fun time.

I got a 7' ultra light from bass pro in Cary(Raleigh). It has a backbone but a fast taper tip. I put a shamono 1000 stradic on it with 8#Power Pro braid 1#Dia. It will really whip them out but will also handle a big fish. Shoots dock well also.

A Bass Pro 6'6'' med light Tourney Special with a Shimano Sedona 2500 or Sahara 2500 with 6# Nanofil will fit what your looking for.

Teach a man to fish, he'll sit in a boat and drink beer all day.

Newly forget Bass Pro, go see Ed Duke and get a 7' southern crappie rod. I could sale you one of mine but you would get a better price from Ed!!

Guess one more opinion won't hurt I use a B&M Sharpshooter for all my light jig casting. This 5.5' rod has a lot of backbone (made for shooting docks), and casts really well with a small diameter limp line like nanofil. I've used a lot of different rods, but I think one is my favorite for it's maneuverability along with the distance I can get with it.
