Default New Squid Pattern, Hoping for Big Crappie

Flytying is special to many fly anglers and the two go hand and hand. I still prefer soft plastics for crappie, but I'm eager to try this fly on some good crappie waters this summer. I'm a pretty good tyer, but there are many patterns I have no experience tying and glad I got this one right. Epoxy is pretty fun to work with, even though it can be messy at times. This fly was originally designed for largemouth or other big game, but crappie can get pretty big too and have such a big, big appetite!

Nice job, not sure how many squid crappie have ever seen, but the right colors should help I would think. Really nice job making the fly though as they look awesome! Really like that Blue one! Blue and White are proven crappie catching colors!

The shaping of the epoxy is tricky! The main body on the bigger one's is the rubber body (Pearl) of a swig tail grub! I'm going to write an instructional blog on my site!
