    10# mono (vicious hi vis)....... like the cushion or dampening effect that mono gives and works with the precision trolling charts....

    20 lb power braid works good if you are worried about losing baits. I prefer 10 lb mono because it will stretch a bit. A large crappie that strikes short with 100 ft of line out will rip off too often before you can get her to the net when using braid
