Got into a a mess of large females on beds on Caddo Lake and caught 25 or so on 1/2 oz spinnerbaits fire tiger color... we were bass fishing and the it broke out into a white perch whacking.
I apologize that was not a report...that was my respon to the strangest bait I caught crappie on.. just thought it was unique that I caught multiple on such a large spinnerbait
That's cool....no apology necessary......sorry if it came across as a reprimand....I love to fish a white 1/2 oz Boo Yah Colorado blade spinnerbait...... I have caught lots of sacs on a white 3/8 oz willow leaf spinnerbait.....and you are right, that catch was pretty unique....thanks again ....

The Buzz bait is impressive
I've gotten about half a dozen sacs on the ole topwater plug over the last few years. Every one of them was +12".
Well from back in my bass guiding days in the late 1970's we use to fish with a Black Marabou jig with a black worm tail so a couple years back I wanted to play some so I tied up a 1/4 Oz Black Marabou jig, hooked a worm tail on it and went out off my bulkhead and can't out a little ways thinking I may get a bass for kicks. Well I got a hit and set the hook, it was a 12" Crappie and I was a bit surprised, but then I pitched in just in from of a big willow I have on my bank and bang another hit and another Crappie, LOL!
