Lots of good rods to pick from. I have been using bnm custom rear seats for 5 or 6 years and like them better than anything I have tried. The bnm ultra light tip sux. We went thru a half a dozen in a week last year. My only complaint with Sam heaton is the eyes toward the end of the tip. They are a little smaller than what I like. As a beginner u will enjoy any of the rods mentioned though.
I have a Sam' SS. To me is too limber, not enough back bone. My main poles are Wally Marshall. One is a yellow slider that let's you move the reel forward or back. The other is a plain Wally. Both 11'. Get a cheap BnM plastic reel and your set. 30# spider wire

Sam Heaton rear seat ss. No doubt, I haven't had an issue with the tip breaking, very strong, lots of backbone, but still sensitive and lightweight. I like the 11' when by myself and the 12' when fishing from the back of the boat with a buddy. I would pair it with the new Walley Marshall Solo reel. Best combo available in my opinion.
The two best times to fish (when it's raining & when it aint). Proud member of team GitDaFeeshGrease![]()
