Kim, Isaac and myself had a wonderful time getting to know some really nice people. I wish I would have had more time to chat with more of you. I would also like to thank everyone that helped to put this amazing event together - everything was great! Crappie Camp might be over, but the friendships will last forever.

Like many others have said thanks to all involved in putting this thing together. Thanks to those who gave the very informative demonstrations. I will definitely put what I learned to work in the near future. Everyone that I was able to visit with was very nice and I enjoyed sharing knowledge with them. Some groups of people that I have previously been involved with tended to be off standish and reserved to share info and willing to help out. I have decided this group of people are great and willing to help out any way they can. Part of my family was able to come to the camp and I wasn't sure how they would enjoy it but after it was over and we where headed home they all said they had a great time and where ready for next year. As a family man that means a lot to me. Once again thanks to everyone involved and looking forward to next year!

I agree with Ranger and Odie. My father did not fight in WW II per se, but he trained troops at Ft Sill at the Artillery School during the war. My godfather was one of the band of men known as Merill's Marauders who fought the Japanese in the jungles of Burma. There were only 2,500 marauders that survived the war. He was one of them. He never discussed what he did. That is where my thoughts were during the opening ceremony. I wish that I could have stayed for the second day but obligations kept me from staying. Mr. & Mrs. Hat put things over the top with the National Anthem and prayer. This group has been blessed.

I tried to add a couple of pictures with my previous post, but my Android phone didn't want to cooperate. Anyways, again I just wanted to thank everyone for a terrific time at Crappie Camp. I would also like to thank all of the sponsors - the door prizes were awesome. I can't wait to use the new rod.

Guys I just wanted to share with you that I received a special gift at our crappie camp. It was given to me by Josh Loree and family. It was also made by his Mother and hand. This made me look back at the last 5yrs and all the great and awesome friends that I have made. I had never met any of you before that time period and feel so BLESSED to have each one of you in my life past and present. I didn't know Josh and family until our tournament series started and now we have become very close friends, including his beautiful wife Terra, and Emma which holds a very special place in my heart. Josh there isn't words to express how much I appreciate it as well. So with that said I want to share a picture with you all...Ranger

I have to say I am SOOOOOOO glad that my family and I were able to make it to camp, even though it was for a short time, I would have been kicking myself everyday for missing it had we not made the trip. Thank you to those who put in numerous hours to plan this, from what I seen and heard, it was a total success and could of never happened without you guys. I know a special thanks needs to be given to Dave, Merle, Floyd and Allen, you guys went above and beyond what anyone expected and because of your hard work, several people now have new friends and memories to last a long time. I was able to place faces to screen names, see some familiar faces, meet a couple of the sponsors, fill my belly with some amazing food and most important, share all that with my family. I want to say a big THANK YOU to all of the sponsors who not only sponsored this event, but also the ones who stand beside us during the trail. Without them, the Oklahoma Crappie.com family would not be near what it is today.

I didnt get to say goodbye to most of you because I didn't want to interrupt Dave while he was talking about future camps. My daughter and her friend waited patiently to go swimming and figured at 745 we better take them. Again, thanks to all of those who helped make this event happen and to our sponsors. We appreciate it more then you will ever know. I look forward to many more camps in the following years.

Here is a great picture I snapped while my daughter and her friend was swimming after camp. It was a perfect ending to a great day. Name: Sunset11.jpg

WOW! what a beautiful carving. Ranger that paddle is not for hitting disgruntled clients for missing strikes or for clubbing crappie so you could fillet them. It is also NOT for beating on me when I call when you are on the water rippin lips. That needs to hang on your wall in the living room if your bride will let you.
