22 fow trolling crankbaits at 1.7 mph

I have never fished crankbaits for crappie. What is the best ones to use, what have they been hitting? If you don't mind me asking.

Bandit 300's, Rebel Crank R's, are my two go to baits. Also like Yozuri's if you can still find them.

Any certain color that works good?

OMG there are hundreds of different colors. If you stick with bright colors on sunny days and dark colors on cloudy days, you will catch fish. You will soon find a few favorites. I would always have an Awesome Pink, a Fire Tiger and a Black Bubblegum Bandit in the boat. Rebel colors I like are Firefly, Sea Sick and Tail Light

Different colors work better on different lakes as well. Maybe some of the Stockton guys could give a better idea of what colors work best for them.

I have been catching big crappie on brown/orange, bandit 300 and purple/chrome bandit 300 mostly out of twin bridges area, power line and south up the sons creek arm, 22 to 35 ft of water, now having said that, it has been slow on cranks for me last two weeks. brush pile bite is a couple weeks away, and brush pile bite is on in some areas, but not south side of lake just yet. so good luck and let us know.

Great info. So you are fishing a 12' diving crank in that 22-35 fow? I have never tried that before but am going to. Is it a morning bite or evening or all day?
