    Default HD 6/1 11am-2pm

Launched at HD Point and got skunked. Ran to four to five different spots close to channels in 20-15ft of water on both arms of the lake. Wind was very bad and had trouble holding steady while trying to dip bases of trees stumps. Not even a bite.
Home somebody else had better luck.

I think that's just HD this year. The year class of fish at HD is really small so I stopped fishing there, going to hit it again next year but trying new things and new lakes may be your best bet. A great year to break out of one's nine dots and try something new.
It's not duck season so I have to do something... :D

    Default HD last weekend

Interesting as Sunday was one of the first days that I have been able to find any size for crappies at HD. We fished in the trees in 28-30 feet and they would pass in schools under us at 10-18 ft. Looked like they were chasing shad according to the graph and we did catch 3 whites as well, typical when fishing baitfish.

1/4oz jig w/minnow to keep it down with the wind and they would thump it.

    Tight lines

We had same luck Sunday. One almost 12 incher caught on a beetle spin. Nothing dipping. Mostly just fighting wind most of the day.
