Definitely. Hopefully we can get enough guys active on the Iowa board to start putting together crappie camps like the boys down south do.

Them are some pretty blacks Toofuss! They look like they are coming back outa the dark phase. Your spawn must be on or just ending over there, eh? How are the water temps?

Life has many choices, eternity has two...choose wisely.
Unapplied biblical truth is like unapplied paint...how many gallons do you have sittin' around? U.D.
Water temps just hitting the high 60's just barely 70. I'm kinda perplexed on this lake. I fished it a week ago to find the water temps on the cold side. Barely hitting 60 but found fish shallow and was able to catch them. Come back a week later water temps are up almost 10 degrees fish are shallow but very negative. That was some extremely tough fishing. There were several fish still full of eggs but several males in the mix as well
Good mess of fish. They'll eat better than the hogs we keep.
Tell'em I'll be there.
Nice looking fish iun all of the poics. I thought I saw some minnows in that first group but decided they were just northen fish.Actually congrats on such good fish.

FISH ON
Yea guys around here there are only a few lakes that produce true pigs. And they are all over an hours drive getting there. And even then if you can get more than 10-15 and maintain a 12 inch average you've done something.
I have fished some great places and bar none the south wins every time for crappie. Can't wait for my early march trip to lake fork texas. But I'm seriously considering switching destination and headed for the big 4 in ol miss.
What a Yankee crappie taste like?
