Here are My two styles. The purple is high lite so which ever side, top or bottom gets the light will get the purple effect. The one above the bottom one has a profile closer to the Bobby garland. The one on bottom has a fatter profile.

Here are single shots of each type.

    I like them both.CF

It looks like the tail is lighter in color. How did you make that happen?

No special effect there. It is just the thin tails are letting more light through just because they are thinner. Twister tails can really show that. Junebug for instance will be very dark and barely transparent with light shining through the body but the tail because it is so thin, will look very clear with a purple tint. Very small baits may take more colorant to compensate for this. You can shoot a 2"bait and a 1" bait with the exact same color but because the 1" is thinner, the color will not look the same some times.CF

Thanks CF for the info. I am totally new to plastic so I will have a lot of questions that have most likely already been ask before.

You have come to the right place to get help with plastics. I am definitely not the expert here, I am fiddling my way through it with some help from some of the fellas here that are a whole lot better than I am. The only difference between You and I is the time spent doing and learning. Picking good bait molds and being creative with color is the name of the game. Take safety serious with this stuff and learn all the little quirks to deal with and when they become second nature to You, it is a lot of fun.CF

It may not matter to him but that Bobby garland bait is a laminate. Not a single color.

crappiefarmer those are two super colors bet fish in some of are clear water lakes would go nuts over them as those colors are very close to how shad flash looks like.
