    Default Canada Trip

Trip to Canada went well. Caught a boatload of pike with Four Pike 30,31,33 & 36" Big one was 13#.
We slaughtered Walleye several times on flats with Little Joe Minnow Rigs.
Smallmouth are Huge. One over five lbs. Average Smallmouth was 3#. They are everywhere and we lost count how many were caught.
Freezer is full with the legal limits and we're headed out Saturday morning.
I highly recommend Lac du Mill Lacs for a Canada trip. The lake is huge and you'll see maybe 10 boats a day on it this time of year. I'll plan a trip again someday.

Good job Kit. I wanna go back to Canada. Now that my boys are all grown up, it may be time to start planning.

I went a couple of years back and we did not see 5 boats the whole week. We were on a remote lake about 300 miles north of Thunder Bay. Fishing was unbelievable. Only issue was we were camping on an undeveloped island on this remote lake. It is a lot of work to haul in everything and go a week without a hot shower or soft bed. Guess I am getting old.
Was your trip to a lodge? Mind sharing some info on arrangements and cost? Ours was pretty cheap since there were no hotel or restaurant bills except on the ride in and out, but I would have traded a few $$ for a shower and a bed!
