Default The trip that almost was

Jaythan and i have been talking bout fishing for the last couple days and i had the morning off so i made plans for some catching.

Slap the alarm clock at 4:20 planning to get an early start on the day.

Look outside, what do i see??? RAIN,, thankfully it was the lite variety. Undeterred I carry on.

Get Jaythan up and dressed, even put on his autographed Wally Marshall CDC shirt and out the door we go.

I should have known something wasn't right when he wouldn't eat his slim jim or zebra cake. Get half way to our destination and he barfs all in the floor of my truck but he still wants to go fishing. I tell you this kids a trooper...

At the landing i fix up his rod and reel with a cork and jig so he can fish while i unload the boat. While i'm getting in the truck to back down the ramp i look over at him and he's just standing there looking all down and out, so i ask him if he wants to go home and this time he says yes and then he throws up again......

Clean him up, tie the boat back down and home we go.

Now as i'm typing this he's outside riding his bike like nothing ever happened.

Oh well, at least i got to look at the water, that's more than most of you did today...

LOL! Funny story and I'm glad you took the optimistic approach. Sometimes, we can choose to be mad about it, or consider it might have saved us from something worse. Glad he's feeling better. Kids bounce back a lot quicker than we do. lol
