    Default Humminbird help again

Same issue as last time, the depth is blinking 68 to 65 ft constantly when I'm in much shallower water. On my other unit the problem was the battery was not good. It was only getting 9.6 volts. This time I am getting 12 volts. I have restored the defaults and still same thing. This is a brand new unit I got for christmas and just now getting around to putting it in. I am using the ducer on the terrova. The believe the model is 799 but will make sure later. Any suggestions? It's driving me crazy

Pretty sure he has the 788 and its compatable with the US2 if this is the same unit he got from Goodtime, I had it to begin with, threw the receipt away yesterday. Hook it to another ducer if you can, maybe the adapter is lose or sumpin.

BD take the ducer that came with it. Next time out when it starts that, unplug the connector for US2 and hook up regular ducer, just hold it over the side of boat and see if it does the same thing. Also go into menu and look for transducer options. I think there may be a option for the a universal transducer just can't remember what it's called. Friend has a 788 hooked to his and never had any problems.

Does the 788 have di ? I don't think the transducer in the Terrova will run a 788 with down imaging. I was told that when I bought the Terrova.
    Tell'em I'll be there.

Yes it has down imaging but I had another unit up there with down imaging and it worked fine. The down imaging part does not work but sonar does.

Might be cross talk between the ducers. Try turning the good unit off and checking the other. Catch is, I've never been sure on the us2 if turning unit off actually kills the ducer. When I want it sho nuff off, I disconnect the adapter.
