Default Going to Spend some more time on Greers Ferry

Been catching a few on Greers Ferry just about every trip. I like that lake. There are crappie all over the lake and you can catch em just about every way you like. The weather has been tuff the last few days and the water got high and muddy where I was catching them. Been longlining coves with four poles 1/16, 1/8th spinner heads and curlytails on 4-6 lb test. Also been catch some pitching to buck brush on the bank. Another thing I like about Greers you just never know when your going to catch a bonus fish. Here is a Pic of a mess I caught over the last week. I am going to spend some more time on Greers. A beautiful lake to fish and learn. Creek will be having me buy allot more cranks I am sure.

Awesome! The fish biting in all the coves, or any cove hotter than the other. Making a trip up there this weekend!

You need to get dawg some sun glasses. Awesome catch. I'm glad captain dawg was able to put you on some fish. Hope you tipped well.

Right now find the coves with clear water. Look and make sure you are marking plenty of fish with sonar if not move to another cove. Find the fish in the coves with your sonar and you have most likely found some crappie. Long line at 1 mile per hour right down the middle and too each side of those suckers and tip with a nibble. A 1/16th oz head worked the best for me, where as a 1/8th just snagged up too much for my liking. When I say long lining I mean you need 30-50 yards with 4-6 lb test coming off the back of the boat. You need to stay in 20-60 feet of water. I have caught em in as deep as 50-60 feet of water under the boat. You will catch a few. Good Luck
