it sho is alot of work. Skimmer has a slight leak in the piping so when I hook the vacuum up to it, it doesn't vacuum very hard. Just a pain in the butt to get the pool clean. We do have a couple lemons, several limes and oranges on the trees though!!!

Nice, good job DD
I know where you are coming from DonDon. I had a pool in the backyard for the last 30 years. They are a huge pain in the butt, and if anyone is telling you that it will get better, they are lying. It will get worse...Just you wait!!!
On the up side- I finally got rid of my swimming pool this spring (last kid moved out). I put a tomato bed where it used to be.
Think it'll get easier when I get that leak fixed. Course that's $600. They have to bust of concrete, fix the leak and put more concrete down. Just not getting any suction when I put the hose in the skimmer. I cleaned that sucker for 6 hours between friday after work and then before the party saturday. Friends are moving overseas on a guberment contract so we had a going away party

Clean the filter and you will get more suction....I am not talking about back flushing.....change the sand in it
