You're shopping a 3 ton? That Trane quote is high, but par for the course since you're paying for the hype too. It's been a few years, but I got a 5t high end Carrier heat pump--full installation, soup to nuts--for $8200. It worked brilliantly and I'd never seen such low electric bills.

Yep 3 ton and im changing both ac and furnace. Its amazing. Always heard the stories that replacing that stuff would be 10k or more. I bought my truck for way less. Haven't found the right wholesaler yet for york, bryant, or trane but im still looking.

Dont think you would like a Trane......they are loud and noisey

When I was building houses, we contracted everything to Lennox. Never had a problem with them. You might wanna check into them as well

Lennox is good Just took a trane out because of noise. Installed a Lennox. It's super quiet.
