    Default Headed to Santee Cooper Memorial Day wknd


    Gonna be lvn out Fri and coming back on memorial day mon.Just wondered if y all might have any idea what the crappie and kitty's will be doing arnd this time.This will be my first trip taking a boat down here and only 3rd time on lake.I know it gets rough and there are a lot of hazards.We were gonna try and stay at blacks but all there mobile homes were taken so were staying at harrys.Also if any knows where I can get some ethanol free gas close by harrys I would greatly appreciate it.If any of y all are gonna be down there give us a holler we have a radio but I don't know what channels they run down there.Thanks for any help.

    I will be in the upper lake next week. We fish above the I95 bridge so I don't know much about the area you are in. The shellcrackers were hot last week, but they dropped the lake about 2 feet so it may have moved them to deeper water. Crappie are probably in the brush. Bream should be bedding by the time you get there. The folks at Harrys should be able to point you in the right direction.

    We are supposed to be down there too at the same time. Leaving Sunday after church and coming home Wednesday before church. LOL Staying at Harry's as well. We run channel 68 on the radio. We fish mostly at night and around the canal.

    I think we're gonna fish the canal ourself hoping to put my gf and my buddies gf on some fish normally head to the coast every memorial day but wanna try something different this yr.You can't miss us Fishhound is on the side of boat.
