Default Tornado Recovery Dedicated Crappie/Lake Conway

As I fished along the thought was in the back of my mind. I did not feel right fishing the lake in an area that has had soo much pain and suffering. Then part of me realized that there is and will be a recovery at some point. I wanted to see the condition of the lake which was great in the main lake I noticed no more than normal debris and for the most part just some new lay down trees to fish. The water color was very good also. It was nice to go out after such a heart breaking week and know that the lake I love so much is still there and still full of big slabs. May this post let those who also love and fish Lake Conway know the Lake is still there and ready for them to begin anew. Thank You AGFC for your great clean up efforts. I know there is still much to be done but you are on the right track I will see you at the clean up. The Midsouth Bayles Special with a 1/16 oz Chart Pink eyes and a Silver Nibble was all I used to catch these fish in 5-7 feet of water. Tight lines.

    Matthew 5:45

(from memory....this is close)..."The sun rises on the good and the evil, and the rain falls on the just and the unjust".

My favorite Bible verse. It's the biblical equivalent of "Stuff Happens".

Life is for the living. Reach out and help those we meet along the way, but don't stop living.

Good catch man. That's another lake I do NOT know and need to! Clearly!

Wow Russ! I found some of the Bayles Special in Alma. I haven't got to try them out yet. Maybe in a couple of weeks.

I believe you have motivated me to get a short trip in before the clean up. Good mess of Conway slabs.

Guys - make no mistake about it, the Bayles special is not a simple white & chart. It is a white glitter/chart. The white glitter gives the sparkle from the light on this jig mimicking a bait fish scales in the water. I have used this jig time and time again for success on the water. It absolutely works in the right conditions and not to mention it is a glow jig as well giving it the third element in stained water or on cloudy days. This jig is also available in the PRO series larger bait.

Glad you enjoyed them Russ and your replenishment order is on it's way.
