It is about that time again. Full moon in May is about 10 days away and the bluegill and shellcrackers ought to be on the beds. Order ya some crickets and get after them

LOL, yes, I am sure they do, but NOT in Okla. particularly. A couple of lakes in Oklahoma that have some bream fishermen around them might carry them. Normally, you have to order them and keep them or use worms. I raise red wigglers and I think I am going to order a 1,000 in so I can take some time an drown some bugs. I have kept them for years, but my business took control of my life for a few years and now it is time to get back into perch jerkin.

    George,

I'm gonna fish Pawhuska Saturday. Will let you know what I find. BTW - I do need some contact names for the tackle we talked about. Will try to call you 1st of next week. Hopefully won't make you miss a bite!

George when you say crickets, are you talking about the brown ones like the pet stores carry or the big black ones that we see around the house once in a while?

I am talking about the brown crickets that you may find in the pet shops. The pet shops charge a fortune for their crickets although they are making a living, I am just wanting to kick back, smell the air and rip some lips. Google cricket farms on the internet and build a box to house a 1,000 or 2, purchase wild game bird laying mash, get a chicken watering fount and some gravel to fill the trough. You be in the cricket biness. I think a 1,000 runs around $25.00/1000 postage paid. I could be low since I have not bought any in a few years.

Perchjerker - I do not recall what tackle you are talking about, but then I have slept since we talked. Give me a call and I will be glad to help. I have been catching a few nice gill for pond stocking lately.
