While everyone's mind is still on those most affected by the tornado, we (AGFC) will begin a clean up effort on Lake Conway. There is a very large amount of debris from all kinds of sources in the lake. The area that has the most debris is the cove above the dam. If left as is, the debris could cause serious problems with dam operation. We don't want that.
We will spending the next three days in this area removing as much of this as possible. Please try to avoid this through Friday. We will have a large work force in this area with a three barges, several boats, Marsh Masters, and some heavy equipment. After this area is cleaned up, we will regroup and move on to other issues. Please continue to pray for those who have been affected. Thanks.
Matt

I'm sure the state will take whatever measures needed to clean up the lake. I just hope they are as generous helping all the individuals that lost everything they had. To me, that would be a much larger concern.
May GOD bless everyone affected by this devastating tornado. Knee Mail still going up for them All.

Looks like the fence around the spillway is effective.
WOW! I didn't even think about the amount of stuff it would drop in the lake.

My main concern is trying to get my Dad and Uncle on their feet again... but I have a Boat, Dip net and Truck you can use. Let me know if I can help Matt. I have the next four days off from work. I will be doing volunteer work in Mayflower. I would rather be fishing on Lake Dardanelle but the Good Lord has other plans for me right now.

Here is what we got removed today from the lake and from neighboring landowner's property.
There is still quite a lot left to get. It is very sad and tough to work in an area with this much distruction. We even pulled a wall from someone's house out of the lake today.
I know that it may seem to some like we don't have our priorities strait. I assure you that we do. Our hearts are in the right place. We are also assisting people in the area remove debris from their property and retrieving their belongings out of the lake for them. Today I found several pictures from a photo album. Heart breaking to say the least. Continue to keep these folks in your prayers.
