    Default Good Fish at Talquin

Ron Sheppard was Trolling Litewirehooks at Talquin and caught this 10+ pound bass........probably a record on Litewirehooks.

Dang, he got my 10 pounder. Oh well, great catch for sure on litewire jigs. I will be over there next week for 4 days. Hope the storm we have had for past two days passes quickly today and the lake will clear up a little before Charles and I get there. Will start out at Jackson for a couple of days then move to LTL.

Curtis, I don't think I told you but my fishing partner and I landed a big blue cat fish last spring on one of your litewire jigs and 6 lb. test line, it weighted over 50 lbs.

Now THAT took some finesse!!! How long did y'all have to play that big cat before you could land him without straightening out the hook or breaking the line?? I'll say this about Curtis' litewire jigs the hooks are sharp enough to hook any fish that gets close enough! I've snagged them and straightened them all day long and still hooked fish.

It took us about 15minutes, by the time we got all the rods 15 of them in and had a rod knocked over board. We could only get the head in my net and had to man handle him into the boat.

I've found they don't work really well on Ospreys!
