I think it says diesel maybe was 55.9 a gallon. But what's when diesel was cheaper than gas right?

Diesel was always cheaper than gas until the EPA decided to step in... Early 90's it was stil only $.75-80/gal

I worked in a refinery. When they had to build facilities to lower the sulphur content(govt.) the price went up. Those facilities paid for themselves a long time ago. Price still up. Of course this was shortly after I purchased a diesel truck.

Price per gallon is a rip--but I'm loving the MPG and saving a boat load in fuel--I'm loving it

Yep, its a trade off but 19 is better than 10 for sure.
