Default Crappie Masters - Tennessee State Championship on Kentucky Lake

Benton County, Camden and the town of Big Sandy will host the Tennessee State Championship, a 2-day national qualifier on Kentucky Lake on May 2nd & 3rd. Sponsored by Bass Pro Shops, Tracker Marine, Humminbird, Minn Kota, Mercury Motors, MidSouth Tackle, Benton County-Camden Chamber of Commerce, Northwest Tennessee Tourism and the Town of Big Sandy, the tournament is a qualifier for the 2014 Bass Pro Shops Crappie Masters National Championship to be held on Washington Lake, Greenville, MS.

Late registration and the tournament seminar will be May 1st at Bank of Camden Community Building, 180 Hwy 641 North, Camden, TN. Registration begins at 5:00 PM with the rules seminar beginning at 6:30 pm. Teams will fish from 6:30 AM to 3:00 PM on both days and must be in the weigh in line by 4:00 pm.

Fishable waters are from the South of the Paris Landing State Park, Highway 79 bridge, to the Interstate 40 bridge. This includes the Big Sandy portion of Kentucky Lake. Tournament entry is open to the public with a Crappie Masters membership.

The kids fishing rodeo will be at downtown Big Sandy boat ramp on May 2nd. Kids can register from 8 to 9 AM and will fish from 9 to 10:30 AM. Kid’s will need to bring their own poles and baits. They will fish for fun and prizes with each kid receiving a sample packet from our sponsors.

Why cant the fishermen fish north of 79 bridge? That's still part of Ky lake and still in Tenn.

This tournament is sponsored by Benton County and the boundaries were chosen to keep the tournament as close to Benton County as possible.

How far south can you fish? I guess if there is no south boundary, you could acctually fish Pickwick.
